Educational Qualification
- Junior Translator (Hindi): Master's Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at degree level, or Master's in English with Hindi as a subject at degree level; or Master's in any subject with Hindi & English at degree level
- Chief Law Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university
- Staff & Welfare Inspector: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university in any discipline
- Senior Publicity Inspector: Bachelor's Degree with experience in media / journalism / public relations
- Lab Assistant Grade III (Chemist): B.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university
- Lab Assistant Grade III (Metallurgist): B.Sc. in Metallurgy or B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy

Selection Process
- Stage I – Computer Based Test (CBT): Screening stage with questions on General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and subject-specific knowledge
- Stage II – CBT / Skill Test: For shortlisted candidates from Stage I; includes Translation Test for Jr. Translator post and CBT for other posts
- Document Verification: Original certificates for shortlisted candidates
- Medical Examination: As per Railway medical standards for the respective post
